CabHub Reading Taxis Ltd – Terms and Conditions

1. Introduction

1.1. These Terms and Conditions apply to the use of CabHub Reading Taxis, a taxi service provided by CabHub Reading Taxis Ltd (“the Company”). By using our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.

1.2. The Company reserves the right to amend these Terms and Conditions at any time without prior notice. Your continued use of our services following any changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms and Conditions.

2. Service Usage

2.1. CabHub Reading Taxis provides taxi services for transportation within Reading and surrounding areas.

2.2. All bookings are subject to availability. The Company reserves the right to refuse any booking request.

2.3. Passengers must be ready to depart at the booked time and location. Drivers are instructed to wait for a maximum of 10 minutes after the scheduled pick-up time, after which the ride may be canceled, and a cancellation fee may apply.

3. Booking and Cancellations

3.1. Bookings can be made via our website, mobile app, or by phone.

3.2. Customers must provide accurate information at the time of booking, including pick up and drop off locations, the number of passengers, and any special requirements.

3.3. Cancellations must be made at least 24 hours before the scheduled pick up time to avoid a cancellation fee. If a booking is cancelled within the 24 hour period, the full fare of the journey will be payable.

3.4. The Company reserves the right to cancel a booking due to circumstances beyond its control, including but not limited to vehicle breakdown, driver unavailability, or adverse weather conditions.

4. Fares and Payments

4.1. Fares are calculated based on distance, time, and any applicable surcharges.

4.2. Payment can be made via credit/debit card, mobile payment, or cash. Payment must be made in full at the end of the journey unless otherwise agreed.

4.3. The Company reserves the right to require payment in advance for certain bookings.

4.4. Any dispute regarding fares must be raised with the Company within 24 hours of the journey.

5. Passenger Conduct

5.1. Passengers are expected to behave in a respectful and responsible manner during their journey.

5.2. The Company reserves the right to refuse service or terminate a journey if the passenger(s) engage in illegal, abusive, or inappropriate behavior.

5.3. Passengers are responsible for any damage caused to the vehicle during their journey. The Company reserves the right to charge for the cost of repairs or cleaning.

6. Liability

6.1. The Company is not liable for any loss or damage arising from delays, missed connections, or cancellations.

6.2. The Company is not responsible for any personal items left in the vehicle. Passengers are advised to check for their belongings before leaving the vehicle.

6.3. The Company’s liability for any loss or damage incurred as a result of its services is limited to the amount of the fare paid by the passenger.

7. Data Protection and Privacy

7.1. The Company collects and processes personal data in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.

7.2. Personal data collected by the Company is used solely for the purpose of providing the taxi service and will not be shared with third parties without the passenger’s consent, except where required by law.

8. Complaints and Disputes

8.1. Any complaints regarding the service must be made in writing to the Company within 7 days of the incident.

8.2. The Company will investigate all complaints and aim to resolve them within 14 days.

8.3. If a dispute cannot be resolved, it may be referred to mediation or arbitration, as agreed between the parties.

9. Governing Law

9.1. These Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.

9.2. Any disputes arising out of or in connection with these Terms and Conditions shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
